A travelling exhibition has been compiled from fibre artwork completed
by NCEATA members during 2011 especially for this show.
The theme for 2012 is:
INSIDE OUTSIDE
Each piece is original, designed and executed by the artist. A wide variety of techniques are represented. The 2012 show includes a group project ‘Brick Wall’ and a CD containing inspiration on the theme of “Inside Outside”
The individual works have been compiled into an exhibition which, I feel, will prove to be as interesting and stimulating to other textile artists and sewing enthusiasts, as it has been in previous years.
The exhibition travels from place to place via Australia Post in its own suitcase.
Groups borrow the exhibition for two weeks. At some venues it has been displayed on the wall and at others, such as at schools the works have been passed around for individuals to see closely how each piece is constructed.
NCEATA will pay the costs incurred by the outward freight but please note that the organization receiving the exhibition will be responsible for repacking and paying return freight to the next address shown in the information package.
